If you’re wearing a black suite.. otherwise I don’t see white ties with white shirts or colored shirts too often, i guess it’s because it wouldn’t look that great. but it’s more classy than a funky tie with some random design on it. so it will be fine

what do you mean? a white tie function (as in more formal than a black tie function) or are you asking if it’s okay for you to wear a white tie?
